PURPOSE

The goal of the Student Activities and Career Guidance Committee is to expose and educate young people to the field of transportation engineering. This committee aims to accomplish this goal by giving presentations, mentoring, tutoring, and generally getting involved with young people. We will define the duties, state the benefits, and inform them of how to become a transportation engineer. By doing this we hope to interest young people in continuing their education and pursuing a career in transportation engineering.

2012 SCHOLARSHIPS

NCITE has now opened the application process for the 2012 spring scholarships. Four different scholarships are available and all eligible applications are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 17th, 2012. The purpose of these awards is to reward exceptional students who have actively shown an interest in the transportation industry.

Scholarships Available:

- One $500 best student paper PAPER APPLICATION LINK

- One $500 graduate student award GRADUATE APPLICATION LINK

- Two $1,000 undergraduate awards UNDERGRADUATE APPLICATION LINK

- One $1,000 underclassmen (freshmen or sophomore) award UNDERCLASSMEN APPLICATION LINK
